Removal and check of a condition of balancing shaft (4-cylinder engines)

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Pass a long bolt of 6 x 100 mm (or a long screw-driver of suitable diameter) in a special opening in a pin of a forward balancing shaft and, holding by means of it a shaft from a provorachivaniye, give a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel.

2. Remove a casing of a gear wheel of a back balancing shaft.
3. For blocking of a back balancing shaft pass a bolt or a screw-driver in an access opening (previously take a stopper) in a back wall of the block of cylinders. To Otboltita casing of a gear wheel of a back shaft. Now отболтите also remove from a shaft a gear wheel of its drive.

Put on a bolt a label at distance of 74 mm from a face cut. The bolt should not be entered into the block more deeply than to this label.

4. Remove a casing of the oil pump.

5. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove a persistent plate of a forward balancing shaft. Accurately take shaft from the block, - try not to damage bearing surfaces.

CHECK

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carefully wipe shaft and attentively examine their necks on existence задиров, scratches, signs of excessive wear and overheat traces. Usually wear of necks is shown in emergence of zapolirovanny sites to mirror shine.
2. By means of a micrometer measure diameters of forward and back edges of each of necks. The difference between results of measurements corresponds to size of a taking place konusnost. If the konusnost exceeds admissible value on spices, the shaft is subject to replacement.
3. Serially lay each of shaft a shaft in V-shaped blocks and fix in a perpendicular axis of a shaft of the plane a tsiferblatny measuring instrument (DTI) so that its plunzher concerned a surface of an average neck. Rotating a shaft in blocks define size of its palpation. Compare results of measurements to requirements of the Specifications, excessively bent shaft are subject to replacement.
4. Measure diameters of necks of a shaft, and also internal diameters of the corresponding bearings. By subtraction of results of the first measurements from results of the second define size of a gap of landing of a shaft in bearings. Compare results of measurements to requirements of Specifications. If results of measurements fall outside the limits an admissible range, and shaft are in a satisfactory condition, deliver the block a car-care center workshop for the purpose of performance of replacement of bearings.
